The gym bag, and what should be in it
- Typical price
- €30–90
Missing equipment is the most common reason a fighter sits out a round they should have trained. The list is short and does not change, so packing it once and leaving it packed removes the problem entirely.
What to look for
A vented bag matters more than a branded one — the reason gym bags smell is that damp wraps and shin guards sit in an unventilated space for two days. Dry everything before it goes back in. Keep a spare set of wraps and a spare mouthguard case in the bag permanently; both are small, cheap, and the two things people most often forget.
At a glance
- Wraps, gloves, mouthguard, shin guards, groin guard, rope
- Ventilation prevents the smell — dry gear before packing
- Spare wraps live in the bag permanently
- Water and a towel are not optional in a hot gym
