Mejiro Gym (Japan) / Kurosaki Kenji

Kurosaki Kenji was a Kyokushin karateka central to the first generation of Japanese kickboxing, and his gym is the upstream source of the Dutch school. The Amsterdam Mejiro Gym is named after it. Trace the lineage of almost any European kickboxing gym backwards far enough and it arrives here, which is a strange result for a style everyone now calls Dutch.
