Alex Pereira held GLORY titles in two divisions simultaneously and then repeated the feat in mixed martial arts, which makes him the clearest modern example of striking skill transferring across rulesets that share almost nothing else.
His kickboxing is built around one pairing: the left hook and the left high kick. Both come from the same side on a curved path, both start identically, and a guard adjusted for one is out of position for the other. It is the horizontal-versus-vertical misdirection principle executed as well as anyone has managed, and it is why his knockout rate stayed high against opponents who knew exactly what was coming.
