It's Showtime

It's Showtime ran from 1998 and became the most important European kickboxing promotion outside K-1's Japanese operation. It gave Dutch and Belgian fighters a domestic stage at a level that did not require flying to Tokyo, and it developed much of the roster GLORY would inherit.

Its ruleset was the Dutch/Oriental code — leg kicks central, knees permitted, limited clinch, no elbows — which is the direct ancestor of what GLORY uses today. Badr Hari's heavyweight title reign there was the platform for his international profile.

The promotion was absorbed into GLORY in 2012 as part of the consolidation that followed K-1's financial collapse, and its assets and fighters formed a substantial part of GLORY's first two years.
