Chakuriki Gym

Thom Harinck built Chakuriki in parallel with Plas’s Mejiro, and between them the two gyms defined Dutch kickboxing before anyone outside the Netherlands was paying attention. Chakuriki’s reputation was for producing heavy, aggressive fighters, and Branko Cikatić winning the first K-1 Grand Prix in 1993 announced the Dutch scene to a global audience in the most direct way available.
