Belly pad
- Typical price
- €60–140
A body protector worn by the coach so a fighter can throw knees, body kicks and body punches at a moving human target rather than a stationary bag. It is what makes clinch-entry and knee work trainable at real intensity.
What to look for
Look for coverage below the ribs and around the sides, because a body kick that lands past the edge of the pad hits an unprotected coach. Adjustable straps matter — a pad worn by three different coaches in a session needs to fit all of them. Combine with Thai pads so the fighter can chain hands into knees.
