What this site stores, and what it does not

There is no analytics script on this site. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Cloudflare tracking beacon, no advertising pixels, and no third-party scripts of any kind on the page. Nothing follows you between pages or between sites.

There are also no affiliate links in the equipment section, so nothing tracks what you click through to buy.

If you submit the newsletter form we store your email address and the date you submitted it, and we send the mail through Resend. That is the whole record. We do not store your name, your location or your IP address alongside it.

Email us to be removed and the row is deleted rather than flagged.

If you send feedback we store the message, the page it was sent from, and an email address only if you chose to give one. Feedback can be sent without an email address, in which case there is nothing in the record that identifies you.

Saving a page does not require an account. The site generates a random identifier in your browser’s local storage and stores that identifier alongside the pages you saved. The identifier is not linked to an email address, an account or an IP address, and it exists only to let the same browser see its own bookmarks.

Clearing your browser storage detaches you from those bookmarks permanently — there is no way for us to reconnect them, by design.

If you sign in, we use a magic link rather than a password. That means storing your email address, a short-lived verification token, and a session record. Sessions expire. We do not store passwords, because there are none.

The site reports application errors to a self-hosted error tracker rather than to a third-party service. Error reports include the page and the technical stack trace. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not shared.

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests as a matter of how the network works and applies its own security logging. That is a property of hosting rather than a choice about your data, but it is worth stating plainly rather than omitting.

Send a message through the feedback form or by email and say what you want removed. Newsletter rows, feedback rows and account records are deleted on request. Bookmarks are keyed to a browser identifier we cannot connect to a person, so the way to remove those is to clear your browser storage.
